A L'Arche community is a body of people – people with and without a learning disability – who choose to belong and create a home together.
L’Arche Kent is composed of six houses and two work projects spread over a distance of twelve miles, plus other members who do not live in any of the houses. Assistants come to L’Arche for an opportunity to live a life of faith and friendship in community. We are situated in and around the City of Canterbury and in the countryside nearby and were the first L’Arche Community to be founded in the UK.
