Welcome to L'Arche Kent
A L'Arche community is a body of people – people with and without a learning disability – who choose to belong and create a home together.
We comprise six houses and a day activities project spread over a distance of twelve miles from Canterbury to Dover, together with other members who live independently but receive L'Arche support and are active members of our community. Assistants come to L’Arche for an opportunity to live a life of faithful friendship in community. We are situated in and around the City of Canterbury and in the countryside nearby and were the first L’Arche Community to be founded in the UK.
